Keep Accountable for Weight Loss

Do you know one of the number one reasons people LOVE the Weight Loss Challenge?

ACCOUNTABILITY

Did you know that 80 - 90% of New Year's resolutions fail -

We set off with the best intentions, planning our gym schedule and look for the newest fad diet to jump on board with.

However, soon enough the Gym check-in's and food selfies start to slow down and usually by mid-Feb we're back off the wagon - so what happens? Life. Challenge, schedules, burdens and obstacles. We don't have systems in place to keep us accountable.

We need support and accountability to become and remain consistent. You may have heard of your neighbor's, cousin, best friends, girlfriend that went from sedentary slob to fitness guru all on their own - but I'm telling you now, for the majority of us, this is a fairy tale.

The majority of us work our best with coaches, a support network and community of like-minded people.

During the Weight Loss Challenge we have several system in place to help keep you accountable and on track for the entire 8-weeks:

Food and Training Diary: we will ask you to write down everything you eat and drink and ask you to share this each week with our Nutritionist Kelly. Seeing on paper what we're putting in our mouths makes us 10 x more mindful and stops the odd snacking, eating of our child's plate or sneaking in second helpings.

Nutrition Consultation Check-in's: You will have three check-in with our Nutritionist Kelly at the beginning, middle and end of your challenge, which will include an InBody scan to see how your progressing with your fat and muscle goals. Kelly will help to keep you on track in setting small, achievable goals throughout the challenge.

- Facebook Support Group: There's nothing like sharing your journey with other to help keep you accountable. The Facebook group is a great place to share your journey with others on the challenge. Share your food pics, workout wins and even times you feel like you're struggling to stay on track. Kelly will also post daily tips, videos or ask you reflection questions, to help keep your head in the game!

- Group Classes: Our Strength and Conditioning training is in a group class setting. The majority of the members will all be on the Weight Loss Challenge or have completed one in the past. Having a group class setting can keep you accountable to turning up, plus you'll meet great new people that you'll actually look forward to coming to the gym to see!

- Not to hard on yourself: Finally, we will keep you accountable, however, no one at Freshstart is going to put you down if you do have the odd slip or two. Life is for living right? And as we said earlier, life loves to get in the way of our goals. We're here for when those things do happen, to make sure that you move on, get up and keep moving towards those goals!
